LAST Saturday saw the final of yet another successful tournament in Dromore Cathedral.
With over 200 entries it was a busy week for the organisers, bringing 10 players back to the final.
At the semi-final stage D Hamilton (Dromore NS) defeated J McMahon (Carrickmacross) 7-5 while T Gartland (Killany) beat S Murphy (St Joseph’s) 12-4.
This set up a good final between D Hamilton and T Gartland which went to the wire with Dessie losing by a single shot finishing 8-9
The section winners were: D Shanks, S McCall, R Greer, N Graham, R Kidd, Mrs P Hanlon.
The prizes were presented by Mrs B Lindsay.
The Ladies Plate Inter-zone final against Mid Ulster will be played in St Ann’s Church Hall on Saturday 13 February at 2pm.
Please come along and support the West Down Ladies. The players will be notified next week.
