Clubworld owner celebrates awards success

THE owner of a Banbridge travel agents is celebrating after clinching two awards at the Northern Ireland Travel and Tourism and Awards recently.

Delia Aston, whose local Clubworld Travel branch is in Newry Street, scooped the award for ‘Northern Ireland Travel Agency of the Year’ and was recognised for her positivity and business acumen by growing her retail company to seven branches when she also took home the ‘Travel Industry Award 2012’.

Earlier this week Delia, along with Robert Beggs and Derek Mayne from Kragfergus Living History Group, simultaneously marked the official launch of the Carrickfergus shop and celebrated the awards in the historic Carrickfergus Castle.

Delia, said she is delighted with her recent success.

“I am honoured to have won Travel Agency of the Year for the second time,” she said. “It’s so rewarding for all my team at Clubworld Travel to be given such recognition, as they work tirelessly and are loyal and passionate about their jobs. The Banbridge staff are very proud too; it’s a real boost for them and of course our clients.”
