BOOKMARK - WEEK NINE

BOOKMARK came back down to Earth with a big bump on Saturday - then again, were you expecting anything else?

So once again I'm going to take the 'play it safe' option which worked for me a fortnight ago.

And this week in the Irish League I'm going to back Newry to beat Larne. The Harbour Rats, in fairness, have surprised me this season and haven't struggled as much as I thought they would so far. However Newry have a very strong squad this season and I think that home advantage swings things their way. Newry are 4/5.

Now, I did say I'm playing safe this week and that's why my next tip is Chelsea who play Bolton this Sunday. This has nothing to do with Chelsea beating Valencia in mid week but just because Bolton are rubbish. Second bottom of the league on goal difference, a draw with bottom club Derby in their last league outing - Chelsea are certs at 8/11.

Finally I'm going for League One's safe(ish) bet of the week, Leeds United at 8/13 against Yeovil. Dennis Wise's team have won four and drew one of their five matches during the last month, resulting in him being named manager of the month. Yeovil may have 14 points and sit seventh at the minute, but lost their last game 3-0 against a Nottingham Forest side who, until now, had been very touch and go.

A 20 treble backing Newry, Chelsea and Leeds should return around 100. Prices given are only a guide. For a full list of prices check www.toals.co.uk or visit their branch at Scarva Street, Banbridge.
