BOOKMARK - WEEK 14

THERE was another win for Bookmark last week as we backed Glentoran, Cliftonville and West Ham and raised £138.74 for charity.

This week we'll be looking to continue the good form as the international fixtures take pride of place.

And while I'll be wishing Northern Ireland all the best for Saturday's game I'll not be backing them this week - I don't want to jinx it!

But I will be backing the Republic of Ireland this week on their trip to the Millenium Stadium to face Wales. Both sides are stuck in a rut at the minute but I think the Republic have enough quality to win and are priced at 8/5.

The media on the mainland will be focusing on Scotland's game with Italy - best of luck to the Scots in that one - and Israel's tie with Russia. England need an Israeli win to keep them in with a shout to qualify for Euro 2008 and there's money to be made backing them on a handicap. Israel +1 goal is priced at 11/8.

While the internationals are going on there is still a domestic programme as Leagues One and Two continue in England. Southend, who are sitting comfortably in the playoff zone of League One, take on bottom club Cheltenham and they're at 4/7 this week.

A 20 treble backing the Republic, Israel +1 and Southend will return 194. All prices given are only a guide - for a full pricelist visit Toals' branch at Scarva Street, Banbridge or online at www.toals.co.uk.

I'm getting a rest next week as I'll be in Gran Canaria cheering on the lads against Spain so next week Leader Editor Mark Weir will be wasting your 20...I mean continuing his good form from last season. Ahem.
