BOOKMARK - WEEK 25

IT'S Irish Cup quarter final weekend and as such Bookmark this week is a Cup Special (almost like those plastic footballs you used to get from Wellworths for £1.99 when you were wee and used to sting like mad when they hit you).

League leaders Linfield travel to Newry this weekend for one of the quarter finals. Now, I know that the proverbial form book tends to go out the window but to be honest I can't see anyone stopping the Blues on their way to the trophy. Newry in particular had a strong start to the season but their form has died away and while they will up their game for this one I don't think they can get a result. The Blues are 8/15.

In the big game of the day Portadown face title contenders Cliftonville. The Ports have been boosted by the signing of strikers Andy Smith and Aime Koudou, but Cliftonville have been this year's surprise package and they are in second place and I as a great team unit I would expect them to take the honours at this one and are well priced at 5/6.

Finally I'm going for Coleraine to beat Institute this week. Coleraine's form has improved over recent weeks and should be capable of beating a Stute side missing six regulars. If that wasn't bad enough, Institute were beaten by Glenavon the other week - that's how bad they are. Unfortunately.

Backing Linfield, Cliftonville and Coleraine on a 20 treble will return 126.50 if successful. Prices given are only a guide - for a full guide check www.toals.co.uk or visit their branch at Scarva Street, Banbridge.
