BOOKMARK - WEEK FOUR
THREE defeats in the first three weeks in Bookmark are making me look as bad as Manchester United.
I'm starting to get desperate for a win so I think I'm going to play it safe - some money is better than no money at the end of the day.
This week I'm picking Newry to beat Institute. They have won all but one of their CIS Cup games - that was a 1-1 draw with Portadown - and with the addition of Linfield striker Stephen Garrett just before the transfer deadline they certainly have goals in them. Newry City are 8/11.
While I still fancy Larne to struggle this season, I've decided to back them against Armagh on Saturday. City haven't won a game yet in the CIS Cup and I don't think they're going to start this weekend - they are lacking a certain amount of quality. Larne are 11/10.
Finally, tonight in the Super Cup final (when were the semi finals for this competition played?) AC Milan take on Sevilla in Monaco. Sevilla will be hungry to win the cup in memory of Antonio Puerta who died following a heart attack during their Sunday night 4-1 win over Getafe, but Milan are the best side in Europe today and I think they will have the upper hand in what will be an emotional game of football. Milan are at even money.
