THERE'S SOMETHING IN MONTECATINI'S WATER

MONTECATINI Terme is known worldwide for the beneficial effect its special waters have on the body and soul.

The spas, springs and thermal baths of Montecatini offer a full relaxation service for the body along with wellness treatments.

So why not enhance a relaxing break in this Tuscan getaway with a stay at the Hotel Boston.

The hotel has a real family-feel to it and the friendly and helpful staff will go out of their way to make your stay a memorable one.

Hotel Boston is perfectly located for exploring the beautiful town centre in Montecatini as well as accessing the town spas and of course the famous funicular to the medieval village of Montecatini Alto.

In Monsummano Terme, very close to Montecatini, you can enjoy the services of the prestigious Beauty-Farm "Grotta Giusti", at the new thermal swimming-pool and the gorgeous natural cave.

On the recommendation of the hotel we paid the centre a visit (we also received a 10 percent discount as we came from Hotel Boston) and we were glad we did. It may be a bit pricey but it's well worth spending a little extra for the pampering treatment you will receive. A 50 minute swedish massage and a 20 relaxing massage along with entry to the thermal pool for two will set you back just over 100 euros but hey you are on holidays live a little.

For further information please visit: Grotta Giusti.

The waters of Montecatini's spas are especially healing for the liver and the digestive system. It is said drinking the water helps with liver, stomach, intestine and kidney complaints.

Montecatini's waters are saline solutions with a diversified concentration with precious natural substances like those contained in our bodies (Sodium, chlorine, calcium, lithium, iodine, phosphorus) therefore the body has no difficulties in absorbing these substances.

The central position of Montecatini Terme and of the Hotel Boston mean it is the perfect base for exploring Tuscany.

By short daily excursions you can quickly and comfortably reach all of the most important art cities in Tuscany, or discover less famous sites, but very charming and full of interest.

Florence - the cradle of the Italian Renaissance, one of most important worldwide art and cultural capital.

By train it takes about 45 minutes to arrive at Santa Maria Novella train station, which is in the centre of the town, few steps away from Ponte Vecchio, Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral and Piazza della Signoria..

Pisa - It takes less than 30minutes to reach the famous town, home of Campo dei Miracoli and the Leaning Tower.

Lucca is just 20 minutes away by train. This wonderful Roman city is full of art, churches, history. It is one of the very few cities in the world that can boast the whole original town-walls.

Pistoia is a medieval jewel with its Roman squares and monuments like the Cathedral of San Jacopo e Zeno. It is only 14kms away from Montecatini which takes 10 minutes by train.

Just outside of the town centre, immersed in the green of the Tuscan country-side, is the Golf Club of Montecatini Terme, a 18 hole course which has some stunning scenes.

Further information is available on the internet website www.montecatinigolf.it.

For cycling lovers, Montecatini Terme is certainly an ideal base to stay.

In the countryside and the valleys surrounding the town, there are roads with a different difficulty degree to suit the abilities of all riders.
