A number of civic buildings will be illuminated in red, white and blue tonight (Friday) to show solidarity with people in London following the terrorist attack there yesterday.

The buildings that will be lit up are Craigavon Civic Centre, Armagh Gaol, Armagh Palace Demesne and the Old Town Hall, Banbridge.

Books of condolence are also to be opened tomorrow by Lord Mayor of Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council, Garath Keating.

Both shows of support for the victims were requested by the DUP.

The party’s group Leader Mark Baxter said, “Again we are reminded of the horror of terrorism on our nation. My thoughts and prayers go to those who have been caught up in the senseless barbaric attack in London.”
