Quails scoops more top awards

QUAILS have won two Gold Stars for their Chicken liver and shallot parfait and one gold star for their sweet cure gammon joints at this years Great Taste Awards.

Organised by The Guild of Fine Food, the Great Taste Awards is the national benchmark food awards employing the country’s most rigorous judging system, ensuring the fairest, most accurate and trusted results.

The 2012 GTAs has attracted a record number of entries. In total over 8,800 food and drink products were blind-tasted, tested and discussed during two months of intense judging by 350 judges, comprising food writers, chefs, deli and farm shop owners, food producers and buyers.

Quails are delighted to be among the country’s most highly rated foods.

Joseph Quail said he was delighted at their latest success.

“We are thrilled to have won these two awards,” he said. “These add to the four awards we have already won for our dry-aged Sirloin steaks, fillets steaks, Rib roasts and our Honey roasted ham. So while we haven’t reached Micheal Phelps’ medal tally, we are trying our best to keep up to his high standards!

“A lot of our suppliers also did well with our Jam, tea, butter and oil suppliers lifting over twenty awards between them this year. So if you are after the highest standards of food call into Quails.”
