Rolltack’s Clare thrilled with award

The recipient of the Best Entrepreneur award says she was “absolutely thrilled” to receive the prestigious award.

Clare Medland, Director of Rolltack Ltd. an equestrian equipment manufacturer based in Waringsford was shocked when she heard her business being listed as the winner.

“I only set up in business last year and I really didn’t expect to win and was delighted to have been shortlistedshe said.

Clare’s design the ‘Rolltack’ saves equestrians from carrying and transporting heavy awkward tack.

The Rolltack team is made up of Clare and her sister Anne and Anne’s daughter Louise Medland

Clare searched the web to find a suitable tack trolley which doubled as a car saddle rack and when she couldn’t buy it she made it.

After a trial period with the prototype Rolltack decided to take their design a step further and develop a marketable new product.

Clare said: ”I’m a great believer in making life as easy as possible and I think other people with equestrian interests will find the Rolltack to be the workhorse of the stable yard.

“It really is like having an extra pair of hands.”

Clare added: “This revolutionary product is designed to make life easier for every equestrian enthusiast who needs tack to ride, whether young or old, recreational rider or top competitor, regardless of ability, gender or nationality.

“The Rolltack is a multi-purpose adjustable saddle trolley with a built in mounting block and storage unit. It can be used home or away.
