They are set to embark on three new EU Erasmus+ Projects to support budding entrepreneurs.

The projects being delivered are Food Incubators Transforming Regions, Creative Communities Igniting Change and Streetfood: Opportunities for Regions.

Each project will establish a partnership of stakeholders from across the District to support the entrepreneurs.

The aim of the Food Incubators Transforming Regions project is to use partners in Banbridge, Roscommon, the Netherlands and Slovakia to develop food kitchens and incubators in order to encourage would-be food entrepreneurs.

The focus of Creative Communities Igniting Change is to create entrepreneurial opportunities for people to get involved in the creative sector.

At the same time, it will provide training and workspace for these emerging entrepreneurs in their communities.

The projects seeks to impact young unemployed people and other socially excluded target groups while hoping to tackle high levels of unemployment and eyesore empty buildings.

Street Food Opportunities for Regions aims to deliver high quality training for street food entrepreneurs to grow their businesses.

It also seeks to work with Higher Education Institutions and Business Development Organizations that provide Vocational Educational Training for the food sector.

The Streetfood Opportunities For Regions partners come from Banbridge District Enterprises Ltd The Nationwide Caterers’ Association, Momentum Marketing Services Ltd Ireland and The Food Hub Ireland as well as from the Netherlands and Germany.

For more information on any of the three projects, you can contact Banbridge District Enterprises on 028406 62260.
