Co Down RSPB holds AGM

The Annual General Meeting of the County Down Section of the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association Northern Ireland Branch (RSPBANI) was held in the Millbrook Lodge Hotel, Ballynahinch on Wednesday 21 October.

During the meeting the President, Lorraine Ronaldson, presented gifts to the outgoing Chairman William Connolly and the outgoing Trophy Officer James Crothers in recognition of their loyal service to the Section.

William, who has been Chairman for the past 26 years, has been replaced by Derek Mack (Previously Vice-Chairman) and Vikki Singer replaces Derek as Vice-Chairman.

James, who has been Trophy Officer for the past 30 years, has been replaced by Roy McCullough who will undertake these extra duties in addition to his role as RSPBANI Trophy Officer.

The installation of office bearers was conducted by Ray Hall (RSPBANI Chairman) and the newly installed Co Down Section Office Bearers for 2015-2016 are: Lorraine Ronaldson (President), Derek Mack (Chairman), Vikki Singer (Vice-Chairman), Mervyn Herron (Secretary), Ivan Crothers (Treasurer) and Roy McCullough (Trophy Officer).
