Dog lovers will get a chance to see Oscar the black cross labrador who was abandoned in Banbridge back in September.
He will be at Jollyes pet store in Banbridge from 10 to 5pm on Saturday (December 5)
Oscar, who is now cared for by his new owners at the Doghouse Sanctuary, had been used as bait for fighting dogs. He was found severely traumatised, anaemic and weak, suffering from severe bruising, with thousands of maggots coming from his ears and other parts of his body, and suffering from up to 50 puncture wounds. Gary McFadden, of the Doghouse Sanctuary charity said Oscar who is still under weight but doing ‘remarkably well.’
