A Dromore woman was fined £60 last Thursday at Banbridge Magistrates Court for a speeding offence.
Bancheun Alderdice (42), Demense Valley, Dromore, was also given three points and ordered to pay a £15 offender’s levy. The court heard that she was detected travelling at 73mph in a 60mph zone on the A1 carriageway at Dromore. Her solicitor said she had six points on her licence for a no insurance offence.
He explained that a fixed penalty was issued but she could not follow the forms and a summons was issued.
Deputy District Judge Amanda Brady said she would deal with it as if it were a fixed penalty with the addition of the offender’s levy.
