Woman caught using her mobile phone '¨while driving in Bridge Street

A 57-year-old woman was fined £75 last Wednesday at Craigavon Magistrates Court for using a mobile phone while driving.

Sarah Clace, Kinallen Close, Katesbridge was also given three points and ordered to pay a £15 offender’s levy.

The court heard she was seen using her phone while driving in Bridge Street, Banbridge. Solicitor Mr Conor Downey, said she was stupidly using the phone while driving.

District Judge, Mrs Bernie Kelly, looking at the police statements, said what she said was not particularly lady like. Mr Downey conceded ‘it was not a great response’ and her ‘language was colourful to say the least’.
