Made threats to kill woman

An arrest warrant was issued last Thursday at Banbridge Magistrates Court for a 20-year-old man who did not turn up for sentencing.

Daniel McConville, whose address was given as Dingwell Park, Lurgan, faces two charges.

He has been convicted of making a threat to a female to kill her on May 14 last year and disorderly behaviour at Newry courthouse on the same date.

Sentencing had been adjourned so that a pre-sentence report could be obtained.

The court heard that he had not turned up for his appointment with probation.

A court official called the defendant and confirmed on oath that there was no response.

District Judge, Mr Eamonn King, issued an arrest warrant.
