Man didn't show up at court

An arrest warrant was issued last Thursday at Banbridge Magistrates Court, sitting in Newry, for a Rathfriland man who did not turn up to answer a charge sheet.

Padraig Hugh Michael Rosato (21), of Dromore Street, Rathfriland, faces a total of three charges against him.

He is accused of preventing a meter from recording electricity at Dromore Street, Rathfriland, on January 12 this year.

And dishonestly using electricity and damaging an electricity meter.

A police office said she believed she could connect the accused with the charges.

The court heard that for a young man he had a total of 49 previous convictions.

District Judge, Mr Paul Copeland, issued an arrest warrant for the defendant.
