The Ulster Unionist Party held a farewell celebration dinner in honour of three retiring MLAs at Stormont last Friday evening.

Upper Bann MLA Sam Gardiner, North Down MLA Leslie Cree and former Health Minister and South Belfast MLA, Michael McGimpsey are retiring at the end of this Assembly Mandate.

UUP MLA Jo-Anne Dobson said: “So many people, including myself, owe these three gentlemen a debt of gratitude for their service to the people of Northern Ireland with between them many decades of experience, knowledge & loyalty.

“I thank them all for their guidance since I was first elected as a new MLA in 2011 and wish them a long and happy retirement. It is no exaggeration to say that these three gentlemen are giants of public service.”
