Former local jeweller passes away

A Banbridge born former jeweller Herbert (Rodney) Watson has passed away.

Rodney, who was the son of Herbert (Bertie) and Greta Watson of Dunida, Lurgan Road, Banbridge died on January 11.

He attended Banbridge Academy and then for some years joined his father in the family jewellery business in Bridge Street.

He had a great interest in photography and motorcycles and was a member of Ballydown Presbyterian Church Motorcycle Club.

He is survived by his son Andrew, daughter-in-law Louise and grandson
Ethan.

The funeral took place from William Bell and Co. Funeral Home on Thursday, January 14 and was conducted by the Rev. Liam
Rutherford.

The interment took place in the New Cemetery.
