An NIHE scheme for Huntly bungalows has been welcomed by DUP Councillor and Assembly candidate for Upper Bann, Carla Lockhart.
This comes on the back of a needs assessment having been carried out.
Speaking on the issue Councillor Lockhart said: “This is a welcome scheme for the residents of Huntly bungalows. It will see the building around the current housing structures and the replacement of the roofing in 17 bungalows owned by the NIHE.
“The bungalows in Huntly are an important part of Banbridge’s housing fabric. It is encouraging to see the NIHE investing in them and future proofing them for years to come.
“Currently the NIHE are carrying out consultations with the residents and it is anticipated that the scheme will commence early spring.”
