Karla named brand manager for Linwoods

A Donaghcloney woman has been appointed brand manager for Linwoods Health Foods based in Armagh.

Graduate Karla McAviney will be responsible for developing Linwoods product range by developing marking plans and brand awareness initiatives for the firm’s domestic and export markets.

After gaining a degree in International Business Management from Manchester Metropolitan University, Karla has gained ten years marketing experience working in various marketing roles, predominantly in businesses in the food and drinks industry in Northern Ireland.

Karla’s role also includes origination and implementation of trade and consumer marketing activities and promotional planning to develop brand awareness and consumer knowledge.

Karla, who has a first degree black belt in Karate Kickboxing, said, “As a keen sports person I know how important it is to look after your health.

“My genuine passion for health can only be a benefit in my new role where I’ll be helping explain and communicate the benefits of the wide range of Linwoods Health Foods products to everyone.”

Aside from her day job, the Donaghcloney woman sends her divides her lesiure time either training and teaching beginners kickboxing or attending to administration tasks in her club secretary capacity.

Despite her busy schedule, Karla somehow still finds the time to continue with her studies and is currently completing the Chartered Institute of Marketing’s Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing.

Linwoods was formed in 1985. It launched as a retail store, nine years later in 1996. In 2003, they launched their ‘super food’ health food products which are now sold throughout Ireland, the UK, Europe and the USA.
