DROMORE councillor, Paul Rankin, has encouraged local church groups to find out about funding available from the EU.
He was speaking after DUP MEP, Diane Dodds, held a funding workshop for churches and faith based organisations at Café Vic-Ryn in Lisburn.
“This is the first of a number of events which will be rolled out across Northern Ireland in the coming weeks. Approximately 50 local churches in the Lagan Valley area were represented with between 100-150 people in attendance at this event. I was pleased to see that a number of local churches from the Dromore, Garvaghy and Dromara/Kinallen areas, were also represented.
“At this event an ‘overview’ of Diane’s latest funding booklet was delivered, lasting around 90 minutes.
“I would encourage anyone who is interested in attending to contact Diane Dodds’ office in Lisburn and register. Contact 028 9266 7733 or speak to someone in your local DUP office.
“Copies of this latest funding booklet and copies of the previous funding booklets for community groups and businesses will also be available on request.”
