Sound therapy with Connect

Local support group Connect is holding an information and support evening for parents of children with additional educational and support needs at Dromore Town Hall on Thursday March 13 at 7.30pm.

This month’s meeting will be led by Tessa Greer, Sound Therapist from the Sound Healing Spa who will create a nurturing space, accompanied by soothing sounds and images designed to allow parents to unwind and tune-in to ease and well-being, both physically and emotionally.

Niamh Shiells, Connect, explained: “Tessa is an incredibly nurturing individual who has worked with many groups helping them to reduce stress and increase wellbeing. The Sound Spa experience is not to be missed and you will go away feeling energised and ready for the next challenge whatever that might be.”

Connect is now in its third year, the network is unique in the community offering a mix of professional speakers as well as informal coffee mornings. Parents come with a variety or concerns ranging from care, education, health or simply seeking a listening ear. Co-founder of Connect,

Judith Clarke said: “Our meetings offer a chance to listen to informative speakers and also the opportunity to talk with others who often have similar experiences sharing help and advice – supporting one another. Put simply Connect’s aims are sharing information and support. If you have not joined us yet then you would be very welcome at this month’s meeting.”
