If you go down to the woods today or rather Scarva Village Green on Thursday August 14 you’re in for a big surprise because that’s the day the teddy bears have their picnic.
The beautiful Scarva Village Green will again be the setting for Banbridge District Council’s much loved annual Teddy Bears Picnic which runs from 12pm – 2pm.
Furry friends and cuddly toys of all shapes and sizes are asked to bring along their young owners to enjoy all the free fun activities on offer including face painting, balloon modelling, bouncy castle, arts and craft workshops.
Have a go at decorating your own delicious cupcake or make a tip-top teddy bear picnic basket. Dancing divas can bop the afternoon away with their cuddly characters at the children’s disco, or why not test your skills at the giant Jenga and Connect 4 games.
Families can pack a picnic and join Daddy Bear, Mummy Bear and Baby Bear for a relaxing lunch on the village green or enjoy a wide variety of mouth-watering homemade cuisine at Scarva Visitor Centre. For further information about this free event call 4066 0605.
