Magherabeg Neighbourhood Watch met recently in Dromore Town Hall to discuss issues of local concern.
These included PSNI statistics for the area, initiatives NW Schemes could tap into and proposed A1 carriageway changes which would close access from many country roads.
Amanda Mulholland gave a ‘Be Safe Stay Safe’ presentation and resource packs, with items such as light timers and tips on checking ID when someone comes to the door - were distributed.
Inspector Leslie Badger provided a crime update - in particular rural crime - and prevention advice, noting the Department of Justice discount to farmers on TRACKER and CESAR until the end of February.
