Appeal after hit and run

POLICE in Rathfriland are appealing for information following a hit and run collision at the junction of Church Square with Caddells Lane.

On Tuesday, 18 September, around 9.30pm, a red Audi was turning left from the Square onto Caddells Lane when a car driving along Caddells Lane collided with it, causing damage to the front offside of the vehicle.

The car is described as an old type estate car, red in colour (possibly faded with different coloured panels) and a roof rack on top. It made off down John Street at speed.

Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision or has information in relation to it to contact them on 0845 600 8000.
