Councillor thanks bank for new sign

DROMORE councillor Paul Rankin has thanked Danske (formerly Northern)Bank for erecting a new and more visable signage outside its vacated branch in the town.

The sign reminds the public not to park in front of the gates or block the footpath for pedestrians.

Local residents had raised concerns with Lagan Valley MLA Brenda Hale’s office, claiming a number of vehicles parking outside the bank had been obstructing the footpath.

The bank does not own the area between the gate and road but believes the sign will go some way towards addressing the problem.
