Laptop surprise for Ben and his school

A BANBRIDGE Academy pupil’s flair for creative writing has won him a laptop - and also one for his school.

Ben Daly was the winning entrant in a writing competition organised by Texthelp, literacy support software providers, who asked school pupils to submit a short story or poem on the subject of their choice.

Ben’s entry, ‘Against all Odds’ was selected as the best of all the submissions, winning him and Banbridge Academy a laptop, with each including Texthelp’s award-winning literacy support software, Read&Write 10 GOLD, already installed on it.

The prizes were presented at the school last week to Ben who said he was delighted with the early Christmas present: “Winning the laptop was a real surprise, but a very pleasant one,” he said. “I’m really looking forward to using my laptop and the Texthelp software. It’s like Christmas has come early!”
