Pair to stand trial

TWO men appeared at a Preliminary Enquiry at last week’s Banbridge Magistrates Court charged over the theft of a scooter.

Connor Lennon aged 27 from Cooly Hill, Tandragee will stand trial next month alongside Banbridge man Kevin McPolin also aged 27 and from Edenderry Park.

They are each charged with the attempted theft of a scooter from Tracy Kerr and theft of an electric scooter valued at £200 from John Kerr on 9 August last.

A PPS prosecutor said that based on the papers before the court there was a case to answer.

Each was remanded on continuing bail of £500 and ordered to return to Newry Crown Court on 18th April.
