POSTERS REMOVED IN KINALLEN AREA

ELECTION candidate Paul Stewart this week appealed to other parties to be aware of their supporters' activities after 100 DUP posters were removed in the Kinallen/Gransha areas.

Mr. Stewart said police had been informed and were following a line of enquiry involving a vehicle seen on the Banbridge Road, Kinallen at the time the posters were removed, between 1am and 3am on Sunday morning.

It was illegal, he said, to remove posters during an election campaign and he appealed for anyone with information regarding the posters and/or the vehicle seen in the area to get in touch with police.

He urged other parties and their supporters to "allow the people of Dromore to decide for themselves".
