New mums and tots group

The club which takes place every other Wednesday is hosted in St Patricks Church hall by a group of local women who saw the need in the local community.

Speaking after attending the launch day, last week Carla Lockhart congratulated the women behind the project and wished the group every success in the future

She said, “I want to congratulate the local ladies who had the vision to launch this and wish them every success.

“It encapsulates the sense of community in Donaghcloney and I hope many parents avail of this facility. I was delighted to visit the hall and meet some of the mums and kids who are attending.

“I have no doubt that this initiative will grow in numbers and the demand will increase as parents and grandparents realise the social and educational benefit of this group.

“I look forward to working with them long into the future.”

Little Ark was launched last week at St Patricks Church Hall. The group is geared for pre school children with lots of information and advice for parents on Mental Health, Post Natal Depression, breastfeeding.

The mums and tots groups are run by volunteers and are set up to provide a great play opportunity with a dedicated area with soft mats and bouncer chairs for the child and a chance for mums to make new friends too.
