Organisers of last week’s Rathfriland 10k/5k would like to thank everyone who took part and those who helped make it a great success.
Rathfriland Regeneration chairman Mr Pat Rafferty said, “The event was a great success, we had slightly more taking part than last year and everyone I have spoken to enjoyed the evening.
“Thankfully the weather was kind to us and there was a great turn out.
“It was particularly nice to see so many local families take part in the walk.
“Donations are still coming in for PIPS and we will announce the final amount raised in the very near future.”
“Due to the level of interest in running, a number of individuals are working to establish a Rathfriland Running Club. A meeting is being held this Thursday night in Chandler’s House at 7pm for those interested.
“Complete beginners as well as those more experienced are welcome to come along. Runners are asked to wear appropriate high-vis clothing.
