The new partnership with Hammerson will ensure that Clearhill’s equipment, including Kiddie Rides, Carousels and Candy and Toy Carts, will appear in some of the UK’s biggest and best known shopping centres, including Birmingham’s Bullring which recorded over 40million visitors last year alone.

The announcement is the latest success for the Banbridge company which already enjoys a 76% market share in Ireland and 35% in the UK. The Hammerson portfolio comprises 11 major shopping centres, which together attract nearly 150 million visitors each year.

Clearhill’s Commercial Director, Brian McAreavey, said: “Shopping centres today are faced with the challenge of entertaining and engaging their customers to maintain footfall and stave off competition from both off and online trade.

“That’s where Clearhill excels; helping provide customers with an enhanced experience through retail entertainment. To secure such a prestigious partnership is a great demonstration of Clearhill’s ability to design, build and deliver quality leisure vending products.”

Former Enterprise, Trade and Investment Minister Jonathan Bell said: “Securing this valuable new contract is an encouraging result for Clearhill as it focuses on expanding its customer base in Great Britain. My department, through Invest NI, has been working closely with Clearhill and its investment in product development, marketing and workforce will ensure the company has the capabilities and resources to achieve its growth ambitions.”

With almost 25-years’ experience in the business, the new contract will mean that Clearhill are supplying over 2,000 pieces of equipment to more than 220 shopping centres throughout UK and Ireland.
