A spokesperson for the Association said: “We noted that there were many events being arranged throughout the country to bring people together as a community to celebrate the Queen’s 90th Birthday.

“However, the majority of these events are planned to take place in the towns and cities, while there was very little being planned to enable the local rural community to join in the celebrations.

“As such, a number of the ladies from within the Association decided to take the initiative and organise our own celebrations for the local community to enable people to come together with family and friends to enjoy the celebrations through a ‘Royal Tea Party’.”

There will also be plenty of entertainment provided, including, for example, a pictorial & video history of the Queen throughout her 90 years, a chance to build your own Royal Crown, a piper playing some of the Queen’s favourite tunes and much more.

It is also advisable to bring your camera just in case there is a photo opportunity with a very special guest of honour!

Admission is free to all; however, a small voluntary subscription would be appreciated.

The Royal Tea Party will run from 10am to 12noon.
