Scarva native was a keen motorcyclist

Kenny, as he was affectionately known, was predeceased some 11 years ago by his wife Doris.

He is survived by daughters Dolores, Carol, Joanne, Janice and Karen, sons Brian and Philip, sons-in-law Edmund and David, daughter-in-law Anne, 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and sister Carol Whitten. To these and all other relatives sincere sympathy has been extended.

Raised in Scarva, Kenny left school to work at Teggart’s shop on Aughlish Row and later worked first at Sintons Mill Tandragee, then Graceys, Tandragee.

He went on to work as an asphalter and was in partnership in a garage on Tandragee’s Portadown Road, and then Francis Neill Motors.

A one-time member of the Ulster Defence Regiment, Kenny attended Tandragee Presbyterian Church.

He enjoyed playing darts and, as a keen motorcyclist, he loved watching and attending all local motorcycle racing events.

Mr Miskimmons’ funeral took place from his home to a packed Tandragee Presbyterian Church, where the Rev Stephen Hibbert officiated and the hymns ‘The Lord’s my Shepherd’ and ‘Be still for the presence of the Lord’ were sung, Mr Warren Brown presiding at the organ.

Interment followed in the adjoining Churchyard.

Family flowers were placed on the grave and donations in lieu of flowers are being sent to William Bell and Co. Funeral Directors, 23 Kenlis Street, Banbridge, BT32 3LR for Macmillan Nurses.
