BANBRIDGE District Council is organising an exciting programme of activities for children and young people aged 5 to 17 over the summer months.
This year’s programme has been developed to celebrate arts and sports in the run-up to the London 2012 Games.
Delivered by experienced coaches and tutors, the vast choice of sports and arts activities will aim to promote the Olympic values of respect and friendship, enabling children and young people to have fun, meet new friends, learn new skills and develop new interests.
For those who like sports, there’s a wide range of activities to choose from including angling, badminton, cricket, dance, hockey, multi sports, outdoor tennis, athletics and table tennis.
For those who prefer creative activities, there’s a wide range of arts and crafts courses in Going for Gold, Olympic Newspaper Sculptures, Pirates and Princesses and Couture Chicks and Designer Dudes.
A copy of the programme guide will give details of all activities and courses and are available from all Council facilities including the Civic Building, Banbridge Leisure Centre, Dromore Community Centre, Gilford Community Centre, Rathfriland Community Centre and the F.E.
