A festival of fun for all the family this Christmas at Odyssey

IT was a Christmas tradition for generations of children - a trip to the Anderson & McAuley or Robinson & Cleaver in Belfast to see the Christmas window displays.

But in recent years these displays telling whimsical tales of fantasy and magic have been replaced by heavily styled visions of designer shoes and clothes or even notices of impending sales.

Now the Odyssey Arena, Pavilion and W5 are leading a revival of old-fashioned Christmas family experience, with a lavish project uniting the three distinct elements of the complex in one common purpose – to create a fun Christmas experience for all the family that recaptures the enchantment and wonder of this magical time of year!

Celebrate winter in the city in an enchanting new Christmas experience that offers yuletide revelry and something truly magical for children – young and old this holiday season!

WinterFest will be brought to you by Odyssey Trust in association with Belfast Harbour Commissioners & Chain Reaction Cycles and is being supported by UTV.

W5 will invite visitors to discover the Secrets of Santa in a brand new tale of Christmas magic and if children want to meet the man himself he will, of course, be there. Families will also have the opportunity to take their place on the most enchanting train ride of the year – the Winter Express.

On 18 December, The Odyssey Arena will be transformed into the coolest place in town. The premier entertainment venue will be opening its doors to public ice skating so be sure to get your skates on and glide elegantly across the ice at the home of the Belfast Giants.

Family tickets to WinterFest which includes entrance to W5 and Skate Odyssey for 2 adults & 2 children start at £40 and offer fantastic value for money for a packed day of fun, surprises and a little Christmas magic!

WinterFest continues until 6 January 2013. For further information visit www.odysseywinterfest.com
