Bann failed to capitalise on a couple of short corners with Anderson firing straight at the keeper.
The fluidity of passing by Bann was excellent in spells and after Bennington intercepted from a Garvey counter he found C Campbell who fired the ball past the on rushing keeper with his first touch.
Young replaced Campbell in attack and was unlucky not to increase Bann’s lead when well placed. Solid defending from Bann meant Roleston in the Bann goal was not called upon during the half.
Garvey tried to get back into the game early in the second half but Cowan and Matson repelled any promising attacks.
Bann regained their control of the match and extended their lead when Reid made no mistake when well placed in the Garvey circle.
Bann were denied a fourth after the ball struck the Garvey crossbar after the best move of the match.
A flowing string of ten passes from defence through midfield led to the ball being played into the circle and Reid’s deflection hit the crossbar and rebounded away to safety.
Bann won several short corners towards the end of the half and Reid scored his third when he rounded the first runner and slotted the ball into the bottom corner.
Neither team could find anymore goals and Bann ran out convincing winners.
