Coaches promise reward for U15 stars

Banbridge U15s coaches Matthew Irvine, John Shannon and John Mullan were rightly proud of their young side after Saturday’s win.

“We’re absolutely delighted,” said Matthew. “The boys played really, really well and they deserved their win. They took control of the ball and really focused on the game.

“Jamie Mullan played at scrum-half and did well. Adam Buller got into the game well at full-back but our MOTM was between John Buller and Charlie Jones. John controlled the game at number 10 and Charlie was brilliant at 12. He got an awful lot of tackles in over the course of the game.

“They were all brilliant and we’re very proud of them. They’ve been absolutely fantastic all season. There were a lot of happy parents there on Saturday as well, which is always a good thing.

“A lot of credit has to go to go to Ballynahinch as well. They fought right to the end.”

They even promised a reward for the team:

“We’ll get the lads a greasy chip on tour in Galway.”
