DROMARA WELL BEATEN BY TOWN U11S

Banbridge Town U11s 6 Dromara 0

BANN U11s started brightly in this early morning kick off against Dromara.

They had chances early on with Adam Salley, Aaron Reid and Matty Teggart all going close with Salley hitting the bar.

Great interplay between Aaron Heaney and Adam Campbell saw Matty Teggart break down the right to hit a cross which dropped to Simon Dowey on the corner of the box. He hit a half volley only to see the Dromara keeper pull off a magnificent one handed save.

Bann continued to pile on the pressure and a ball drilled low against the far post gave them a 1-0 lead at the break.

Dromara started to push on but fortunately for Bann the defence of Luke McAnespie, Tony Byrne, Eoin Monaghan and Simon Dowey held their ground with the locals playing good attacking football.

Two changes were made at the break as Banbridge went all out for the win. Their pressure paid off as they got a second goal five minutes into the second half after a solo run from Salley saw him shoot high into the net.

A lovely interchange of passes saw Bann increase their lead when Matty Taggert fired low into the bottom right hand corner.

Karl Cull scored the first of his brace when he came off the bench to chip the goalkeeper, but in between his two Salley added a fifth to pile on the misery for Dromara.

Next week Banbridge U11s take on Greenisland at Barbour Playing Fields.
