FIRST DEFEAT IS EUGE BLOW BUT MAGEE'S HGC RECOVER
EUGENE Magee's start to life as a HGC player has begun with a defeat to Amsterdam.
They were beaten 2-0 in the club's fourth game of the season and Magee's new club included three Irish internationals.
But they then bounced back to beat minnows Lauren 4-3 with one of those stars, John Jermyn, on target for HGC.
Last weekend HGC drew 2-2 with Tilburg, meaning that after six games they sit seventh in the league table on eight points.
Meanwhile Magee has been in conversation with the club's website.
In the section entitled "5 with H@ns" Magee answers five questions about his expectations with the club.
"I have heard that HGC have a very talented squad of players, I am hoping to learn from them so I can improve the standard of my hockey to give myself the best chance of helping the team to qualify in the Olympic qualifiers," he reveals.
When asked what he expects from upcoming season he said, "a lot of hard work but the main aim is to help HGC to do well in the league and the EHL."
