Rathfriland got through to the decider via a 5-1 thrashing of Seapatrick in the semi-final thanks to goals from Lee Feeney, Darren McGrath, Michael Green, James Costello and Aaron Megaw.

That was on Monday and on Tuesday evening, it was a case of ‘anything you can do’ as Banbridge Rangers took no prisoners in a 9-0 thrashing of Gilford Crusaders. Andy Mallen grabbed a hat-trick of first-class strikes while Jeff Brady bagged two and Stephen Teggart, Adam Beattie, William Frazer and Neil Clydesdale all got on the score-sheet.

“We are delighted with the support that the competition has received so far this year and encourage as many spectators to come down and dig deep into their pockets to raise as much for Cancer Research UK as possible,” said the tournament organisers.”
