Dromara Firsts lose out to Killyleagh in tight game

Dromara Firsts fell to an unlucky 3-2 defeat at home to Killyleagh YC, despite leading 2-1 until the final eight minutes of the match.

Dromara conceded a penalty which was converted, losing a man to a sending off in the process and conceded another late on to snatch defeta from the jaws of victory.

Kevin Short and Thomas Beckett scored for Dromara.

Dromara Seconds won 4-0, even after playing with 10 men for over 60 minutes.

Philly Kerr, Jonny Clements and Josh Gordon grabbed the goals.

Dromara Thirds made it four wins out of five with a brilliant 4-1 win away to Comber Rec 3rds. Royso bagged a hat-trick with Jamie Black scoring the other. Manager Sharpe was delighted with some of the football the boys produced and goals scored.

The U13s had a great win over Dromore Amateurs on Saturday. Goalscorers were Ryan Walsh (3), Conor Gates (2), Lewis Bond. Well done boys

The u9s played two matches against Craigavon City colts and Annalong this morning. The first match was against the Colts and an enjoyable game for all the boys with three players helping out the colts due to them having not enough players.

Goals this week were scored by Daneil Bingham, Rory Gilmore, Luke Nethercott, Ethan Green.

The 2008 squad played some fantastic stuff in Banbridge while the Cobras took on Lurgan Celtic in their first match and did really well.

They played some great football with Jake Kilpatrick and William Smith battling well in midfield and Reuben Walsh doing well in defence. Jake Kilpatrick scored the goals in this match.

The Second match saw them play Glenavon Aces and the boys once again done their coaches proud. Charlie Rollins and Bradley Spiers were playing superb in this match with Ben Millington making some excellent saves in goal. A

fter going close on a number of occasions Aaron Rainey got his rewards in this match for his hard work and effort with superbly taken goal. Well done to all the players involved.

The Dragons took on Banbridge in their first match and played really well. Lewis Redmond scored a brilliant goal in off the post and Rhys Hanna and Callum Taylor grabbed another couple of goals. Lucas Rankin made some great saves in the second half of this game.

In the second match our Dragons upped the pace against Craigavon City. We passed the ball even better and Zara Barnes and Leon Barr were great in defence. Sam Galbraith scored in this game with again Rhys Hanna grabbing himself a hat trick!

The under 7’s have been improving each week and continued to do so on Saturday.
