Dromore Under 14s played Craigavon Under 14s on a lovely spring day, taking a 4-1 win.

Dromore were in the lead in the 7th minute when Karl crossed and Adam put the ball in the back of the net.

Shortly afterwards Euan headed just over the bar.

Craigavon played well on the day and worked hard in midfield.

Their keeper pulled off some amazing saves to keep Craigavon in the game.

In the 23rd minute Karl hit a super shot which came back off the post.

Euan scuffed the shot and the ball came back to Karl, whose fierce shot the keeper managed to save.

The second half started well with a great challenge from Phillip.

The ball ended up in Josh’s hands. He launched a great ball down the middle of the pitch, with Karl in hot pursuit.

The ball bounced over the defender and Karl beat the keeper with a fine flick as the keeper came out to close down.

Unfortunately, Craigavon got a goal back within two minutes and they had a tight game for the next 20 minutes.

Then 23 minutes into the second half, Karl’s corner came off a defender and the loose ball came to Adam in the box. He chested it down and hit a low powerful shot.

The keeper did get a hand on it but could not stop it from going in.

The game was wrapped up three minutes from the end when Karl’s through ball found Briggs down the right and he finished well from a tight angle.

John and Dave were happy with the win it was a hard fought team performance.

Dromore now have four more league games left to play this season, but the focus changes to the cup next Saturday with a 11.15am kick off at Cheney Park in Banbridge against Lisdrum.
