Dromore U13’s hit their hosts for six in league

Craigavon u13s 3

Dromore u13 6

This was Dromore’s first away game of the season at Craigavon City’s home ground.

They were soon one up when Euan sent a great cross to Adam in the centre, who put the ball into the bottom right of the goal. Adam turned supplier, from the half way line he fed a perfect pass to Karl, who ran down the left wing, cut inside the box and finished with a fierce shot into the bottom right of the goal.

There were two further attempts, both lobs by Karl and Adam but they were cleared off the line. Jack was next on the goal sheet, when Karl crossed from the left and Jack managed to get in front of the defender and slotted the ball into the bottom left. It all seemed to be going well, but just before half time Craigavon got a goal back.

They were a very physical team but management were impressed by the defensive performance of Joel, Briggs, Nathan, Jason and Ben.

The second half started brightly. Dromore scored early when a corner was not cleared and Adam won the ball. From a tight angle he smashed the ball into the roof of the net. When it seemed all was going well, Dromore let in two sloppy goals and Craigavon were really fired up.

The game changed when Karl broke into the box and was brought down by the last defender, who was red carded. Magill scored the penalty. Craigavon seemed to lose their desire and shortly after that Dromore scored their last. From a corner the ball broke to Magill on the edge of the box into the left side of the goal. Dromore are now second in the league. The next game is away to Loughgall on Saturday at 10.30am.
