Dromore Under 14s secure place in the quarter final of the cup

On a wet Saturday morning Dromore U14s played their third League Cup game.

Karl cut back the ball from the right goal line to the edge of the 6 yard line where Euan hammered the ball home.

Nathan then provided the second with a great cross field ball to Karl on the right whose angled run into the box meant he could beat the keeper with ease.

Karl had a thunder bolt of a shot that the keeper palmed over the bar. The defence were solid with Nathan, Patrick Joel and Liam playing very well.

Jason switched into right midfield and was very lively first half.

Briggs and Jack then came on in the second half. It was Briggs that set up the third goal with a great run for Luke to score.

Philip and Morgan were controlling the midfield well and a great header forward from Philip gave Karl a chance to shot from the edge of the box. The ball flew into the bottom left.

Briggs then produced a great pass to Euan in the centre of the goal to score his second.

The managers then changed the formation to 1-3-4-3. Joel and Patrick played some great football with Joel passing some great balls through.

Patrick started a few mazy runs and indeed Nathan had a great shot on target. It was hit so hard that the keeper spilled it and Karl was on hand to take the ball round the keeper and finish his hat-trick.

With Briggs now on the left, he started to make speedy runs along the left goal line and cut the ball back for Luke to score his second.

Luke then provided a accurate pass for Briggs to lung forward and score with his left foot.

The win was capped with a quick thinking free kick from Karl along the ground for Briggs to run onto and bury the ball low down on the right. This was a great performance and guarantees a quarter final place in the cup.
