Even more, he demands it.

His side were beaten 2-0 by Newington YC at Crystal Park and they face an even tougher task on Saturday, away to Limavady United in the first round of the Irish Cup (kick-off 1.30pm).

The Roesiders won Championship Two last season but King is tasking his side with providing their second shock victory of the season.

It would certainly go a long way to making up for last weekend’s defeat.

“We weren’t good enough and the players know how I feel,” he said

“The difference between that performance and the week before was chalk and cheese but it’s the first time it’s been like that. If we have one bad week every seven or eight all season, I’ll be happy.

“I want a reaction from every one of them this weekend. If I don’t get it, then we will have a problem but I have every faith in my players that we will.

“We couldn’t have got a harder draw, away to the highest ranked team. It will be tough but we did it away to PSNI and hopefully we can do the same this weekend.”
