On a tight pitch Dromore started brightly moving the ball around and putting Kilroot under pressure.

A through ball put M.Rowan in on goal but he was taken out on the edge off the box with the resulting free kick being saved by the Kilroot keeper.

Thompson in the Dromore goal had very little to do in the first half with a back line off Stewart, Martin, G.Rowan and Henderson playing very well. Kilroot had one chance in the first half but G.Rowan made a great challenge.

Dromore piled on the pressure but were unable to convert their chances with a least six great chances not taken.

At half time the players were made aware that they couldn’t keep missing their chances.

The second half started with Dromore pressing more and more but unable to put the ball in the net. With Curran, McMurray, J.Beattie in midfield and Haslem, Mallon and M.Rowan in attack dromore were in control of the game.

As the saying goes ‘you need to take your chances’ and this was the case with Kilroot getting one chance all game and scoring.

Dromore continued pressing but failing to score with another series of missed chances. Changes were made with M.Beattie, Moreland and McCartan coming on but Kilroot held out for the win.

After the game a disappointed Brownlee said: “We played really well but for the 2nd week we couldn’t score and that was the difference. We go again on Tuesday night and hopefully we can get the points.”

This week Dromore travel to play Iveagh on Tuesday, 6.45ko at Brook Community Centre and then travel to play Saintfield on Saturday 16th 2pm ko.

Team. Thompson, Stewart, Martin, G.Rowan, Henderson, N.Curran, McMurray, J.Beattie, Mallon, M.Rowan, Haslem, Moreland, McCartan and M.Beattie.
