They finished off their season with a seven-a-side competition and came away with another win and another trophy.

It adds to the double they completed during the season proper and all adds up to make a pretty special season.

In Saturday’s tournament, Dromore were placed in Group A and played Midway, St Mary’s, Portavogie Rangers, Annalong Rovers and Ballyvea.

The first game was a hard fought battle with Midway and Adam scored for Dromore to win 1-0.

The second game was against St Mary’s. Matthew Briggs scored three as Euan and Philip got the other two in a 5-0 win.

Dromore then took on Portavogie Rangers and they went ahead when Briggs scored another.

Then Portavogie scored with only two minutes of the game left. Dromore were glad when Patrick hit a great shot from the halfway-line for the win.

Then Dromore played Annalong the hosts and Philip reacted first to score. However Annalong equalised and Josh pulled off a great save to keep the game as a draw. With Annalong drawing with Ballyvea, Dromore just needed to win against Ballyvea to play in the final. Both Euan and Patrick scored to take Dromore to the decider.

The defenders Joel, who was captain for the day, Nathan and Patrick played well. Morgan held the midfield well and Jack played well up front, closing down superbly.

The final was played against Loughgall who had qualified from the other section. The final was a 15 minute game and Dromore scored from a corner by Joel that Euan headed in from close range.

That proved enough to win the final and make it three trophies for the season.

This was a great team effort and coaches John and Dave would like to thank all the parents that came and supported.
