SLANE LADS BREAK THE MUFL 100 LEAGUE GOALS IN ONE SEASON MARK - INCREDIBLY WITH ONLY 19 LEAGUE GAMES PLAYED

Most goals for 102, best goal difference +81, best goals for per game ratio +5.37. Amazingly that’s not only the best within the MUFL Intermediate leagues but the best out of all 11 MUFL divisions and 123 teams - superb effort from our lads.

Many often ask why we are called the FAMILY football club?? Well....Way back 33 years ago when our club was formed a yound David Bingham scored the first ever goal for Moneyslane FC in a friendly against a recently formed Temple Rangers FC. We wore brand new strips from money raised in a dance at the local bar The Ulster Arms while the Temple wore white tshirts. Fast forward to Saturday 23rd April 2016...Our club skipper Gareth Bingham scored our 100th league goal this season and you guessed it... David Bingham is our club skipper’s Dad.

THE MONEYSLANE FC ANNUAL GOLF CLASSIC THIS SUNDAY 1ST MAY

Moneyslane FC are holding their Annual Golf Classic this Sunday 1st May 2016 at Kilkeel Golf Club. This exciting event is fully open not only to everyone at our club but also general public & it’s one of the most popular days of the year in our family club’s calendar. For only £30 (£120 for team of 4) have a fantastic day including a round of golf on a top class course, goody bag, evening meal and quality prizes to be won. The organisers have also asked all teams to please arrive early as there will be bacon baps for everybody before you tee off

Moneyslane FC is proud to announce that we will be celebrating our 33rd year in style. The evening will include a sumptuous banquet meal and the brilliant and exciting ‘Drive’ providing an enthusiastic and entertaining performance, and their set will cater for all ages of our Family Club.

The Anglers Rest are one of our main Club Kit Sponsors and we are delighted to hold our end of season Awards Dinner supporting our local community businesses. THE WINNING TEAM AT STORMONT

Over the last 100 years, Stormont has been the scene of many memorable events and Saturday 23rd April 2016 was no exception as MONEYSLANE UNDER 10s played football at the famous building. BRG GIBSON AUCTIONS LTD have kindly sponsored new track suits for the whole team and we were invited to Stormont Parliment Buildings Belfast to have our photos taken.

Tyrone Gibson from BRG Gibson Auctions welcomed the boys and parents and they had their photos taken holding the famous BRG Auction boards. BRG Gibson Auctions Ltd have become Northern Ireland’s leading land and property auction specialists and are also involved in car and plant auctions. A special thanks to MLA Edwin Poots and councillor Luke Poots for helping to organise this photo session. After the formalities, our BLUE&WHITE heroes played football in front of the grand Stormont steps. (Thankfully no windows were broken!)
